Seeds Grow in the Dark

This angel's inner life has been full of FEAR and ANXIETY. She's desired wings to soar but thought her flaws tied her down forever. Her spirit however has responded to her seeking, a seed giving birth in the darkness seeking the warmth of the sun, a flower stretching up toward the light. This light energy now flows through her like a stream bringing light to a darkened world, (seen as flowers around the stream). Each one of us is a seed, even if we don't call the light God.

Watercolor and Gouache 27.5 x 35 1/4 inches, 1983 in the collection of Zaphora Manetec of North Carolina.
