Rainbow Warrior

In Native American lore there is a prediction that this century will give birth to "Rainbow Warriors", children of the white conqueror who will embody the spirit of the conquered. These peaceful warriors are dedicated to restoring harmony and respect for the Earth. This painting was inspired both by this legend and a poem from Vietnam veteran and rainbow warrior, Dennis Fritzinger:

"The Warrior Spirit is too valuable to waste on wars
Let it be placed in a better context
For instance acting to save Mother Earth
Then the fire-fangled feathers really dangle
The bow burn gold
